Better places to camp than Dalton Lake Campground! Too many ATVs and you have to drive on a very dusty one-lane road for 5 miles to get there. NOT a quiet nice atmosphere for people wanting to enjoy scenery and nature. ATVs and dirt bikes going up and down all hours of the day and night due to motorized section of Centennial Trail across the road. Way too many rowdy people at this place!

Great little campground with a few nice level spots for trailer (we have 30' trailer) right next to a lake/pond with a babbling brook lots of trees. Very quiet unless ATVers are staying at the campground. About 45 min to Mount Rushmore. Very nice camp host. Great sites for tents we noticed. Would stay here again.
