I’m giving this a three because the amenities are good. The bathhouse was clean freshly painted the location you can’t beat. It’s an in town campsite so don’t expect it to feel like anything other. You’re directly in the middle of town. Not very many good places to walk the dogs with the exception of in the RV park. walk to town is amazing. Easy access to Mount Rushmore in the parks. The pool is no longer usable. The hot tub is out of commission. If you’re expecting Internet, it barely works. Good enough for sending emails. Definitely not for streaming. Very weak.I’ve enjoyed my stay here. The prices have doubled from what’s advertised. They need to update the Allstate website.

Staff was very nice and informative. We weren’t really looking for a camping experience, just somewhere to hookup and enjoy the area. It’s in walking distance of tons of shops and restaurants. Mount Rushmore is 2 miles away and many other things to do. With that being said the sites are very tight and a challenge to get into. Most spots with a stretch from your door you can touch your neighbors trailer. We have a 28ft trailer with no slides.

Narrow muddy sites that are difficult for trailer access. Showers and washrooms closed, excuse given - COVID! Vastly
overpriced at $48 for what is offered.
No regrets

It is no longer a Travelodge. It is the Magnuson now. They say there is WiFi but no they don't. There is TV plug but no TV. Antenna TV doesn't work. You are in a canyon. The road through the site is tight and made it hard to back my trailer in. The spaces are wide but you may need to park on the far right side to plug on to the power. Power boxes are in every other site. You are close to Mt Rushmore.

Suited our purpose quite well. It was $35 for full hookup. A nice, clean, large laundromat was next door. Decent free shower (although you pay a refundable $5 deposit on the key). Not many people there when we stayed .. would be uncomfortably close if full. Our site (down by the small creek) was perfectly flat.

While the facilities are under new management, and there may be hope for the future, right now the sites are crowded together, difficult to get into, not level or kept up. The staff is friendly, hard-working and willing to help their guests. And the washrooms are clean
