Although NPS says this campground accommodates 18 ft trailers, it is primarily designed for tent camping. There is one small circular loop. Vehicles are parked on the road and you set up a tent in the field inside the loop. The crown in the road makes for a tilted trailer. It is primitive as advertised: only a picnic table is provided for each tightly spaced site. Vault toilet is clean and there are trash receptacles. We gave a second star only because it is beautiful, free and coyotes howled often.

Beautiful camp spot. Bison roam the campground and many prairie dogs near by. Fun to explore the hills near the campground.
