Stayed here 5 nights. The pros were the public bathrooms were clean, the campground overall grounds were kept up well, friendly staff, close proximity to many attractions and the town. Cons were the internet and cell service was awful and non existent at times, one of the laundry locations was out of order, cable went out a couple times. Sine we rely on internet as we work remotely, lack of connectivity was the main reason for the 3 star rating.

Stayed at Beaver Lake for 3 nights. If you need cell service or Wi-Fi stay someplace else. They advertise they have it what they don芒鈧劉t say is it might work once a day if your lucky. They told me to sit by the office to get service. I and another guest sat there for over 30 minutes and no service. False advertising find someplace else to stay

Nice campground. The spots are pretty large and spaced out. All the spots are gravel, but pretty level. They have a water slide and pool, but it is only open if the temperature is above 65 degrees. There is an extra charge to ride the water slide. They also have a playground for kids and free bikes for kids and adults to ride around the grounds. The bikes are just parked at bike racks spread across the grounds and you just grab one. When we went they had free live music on Friday and Tuesday. Restrooms and showers are clean, but could use a little updating. The WiFi was pretty much useless. I was only ever able to use it very late at night or very early in the morning. Cell service was also very poor in the area so you are really unplugged while you are there. There are multiple laundry areas. There are fire pits at each site and they sell bundles of wood for $5. The location is about 10 minutes from Jewel cave, 30 minutes from Wind Cave, 45 minutes from Mt. Rushmore, and 20 minutes from Custer State Park Wildlife Loop.
