Absolutely loved this ocean front park! Beautiful long u developed beach. Fabulous for walking. Also walking trails in the park. Lots of nice camp sites. Would be hard to get a bad site here. We were in the North campground. Lots of private sites nestled in the trees. South Campground looks newer and is completely open. No privacy between sites but are all FHU. It was January so we couldn’t get wet in the ocean but still enjoyed picnic on beach. Very interesting tour of Atalanta Castle. Hope to return sometime in warmer weather.

Wonderful spot! It is important to note that the north and south campgrounds are quite different. North has spacious sites with gravel pads with only a small amount of full hookups. The south campground has cement pads and full hookups but it the sites are very close together. The beach here is wonderful and very uncrowded. Some nice places to eat nearby.

Beautiful place. Well kept. New tiled bathrooms. Lots of biking. Beach beautiful. Gardens across street beautiful not really flower gardens but more sculpture gardens. Ticket good for 6 days. Wish we knew that. Went on our last day. Passed tickets on to our neighbor. This is definitely a place we will be back to

One of our most favorite places to stay. We stayed for four nights in March and had to switch sites every day as they were almost fully booked. Make sure you reserve you spots at least a month in advance.

A very nice state park! Spaces are large and level. Bathrooms were clean. Gift shop and office was very nice and new. Boardwalk to the ocean was nice and centrally located. Beach was beautiful and hardly anyone was around! Enjoyed our tour of the castle on premesis. Bike riding was nice - except for the lack of a bike trail at the entrance gate area. Lots of piers and boardwalks to explore with information about local wildlife. Two dump areas made it nice so we didn't have to wait in line to dump. Only regrets were the wood we bought at the office ended up being wet and wouldn't burn and the weather turned off exceptionally cold when we were there so we weren't able to enjoy the beach as much as we would have liked. We enjoyed two nights here and would love to come back!

Beautiful campground! They should all be like this! Nice big level sites, nice grass all around! Clean.

Signage at the road is very bad, sign at park entrance says, Atalaya Holiday celebration don't know what that means?? No mention of the park??? Drove by twice with a MH & tow vechile, ?? ?? ??. There is a park sign a ways from the entrance well off the highway in the woods??

We stayed here in March 15'. Loved it! No problems at all! Close enough to everything! Also full but very quiet! Very clean facilities! Just a short walk to the beach!! Definitely will return!

Great campground! Friendly staff! We stayed at site 3 in February for 2 nights which had easy access to the beach (not that we were on the beach that much since it was pretty chilly). We didn't use the bathhouses any, but they looked ok from a distance. Definitely will return! The castle was neat, but we did not tour it inside, just walked around the outside. Happy Camping!
