Camped five nights Tue-Sat Mar 12-16, 2024 with reservations. Place was full. Campsites are small, packed tight together right next to the crappy access road. Bathrooms were in need of maintenance. Great beach with easy access from campground. No-seeums were bad. Way over-priced for a beat up old campground.

Stayed in Liveoak campground in October. Bugs not too bad. We loved riding the bike/walking trails. Rode our bikes to town too for lunch several times. Good bathrooms. As people noted, the water is not so good, very salty. We did not hook up water to our trailer, brought our own drinking water. No washing machines. Was told new water system in the area is coming 芒鈧搒oon芒鈧. Loved the shaded sites on the marsh.

Would give it 3.5 starts if available. Beautiful Beach!!! Dogs on a leach were welcomed. Sites were in pretty good condition. They were a little closer than we like, but no one was cheek to jaw. Our site backed up to marsh area, but it was cool so not many mosquitoes. May be a problem in hot & humid weather. Dump area was about a mile from our site off the camp grounds. Very Friendly & helpful staff. Would go again & would recommend to friends.

Allstay indicated a rental in the 30s but we were charged over 51$ for a one night stay in our 20ft mini. More than enough bugs to keep us busy.

All in all a good campground. The spaces have plenty of room. Nice shade trees in spots. I did take one star away because of the water situation. It is not drinkable. I had plenty of water in my holding tank so not a big problem for us. Make reservations because it does fill up fast. The beach is very close and you can hear the waves pounding the beach. Just one more reminder....bring plenty of drinking water.

Very pretty, and great stretch of beach for walking.
Gets crowded, make a reservation long in advance.

Beach campground has 30 amp and water hookups. Some sites are in shade. Easy beach access and you can hear the surf from your site. Roads are rutted and pothole badly. Roads and sites are packed sand. Dump station is down the road about 1/2 mile away. 2 pm check in is strictly enforced. Make reservations.... can be difficult to get a site.
