I have stayed here several times on my way from Massachusetts to Florida. The rate was $22 with a small discount for National park senior pass. However they have jumped the rate to $35 night so I’ll be passing it up this year. It’s a fairly nice park with some concrete RV pads and many gravel sites. Compared to other fam camps I’ve stayed in it is not even close to being worth $35/night.

I just don’t know why they are so expensive when the camps around the area are half of what they asking for, Fort Jackson MWR is scamming soldiers and civ with this prices 1000 a month you are crazy.

Nice campground...will definitely visit again. Large camper pads with grills and tables. Lots of space between spots. The bathrooms were clean and no evidence of pet feces as mentioned on other review.

This is our second time here this year. The first time was an overnight stay, but we are finishing up a 10 day visit. The roads are crumbling due to lack of maintenance. After heavy rain storms there are areas in the dirt road that are washed out. The only maintenance is occasional grass cutting and dumpster emptying. No dog rules enforced and animals are allowed to defecate all around the sites. Sites are cement pads with full hookups. They are quite a distance from others, unlike commercial campgrounds. 4 stars because of road conditions, ignoring dog rules and poor cell signal.

for the size of Ft. Jackson this is a small campground. nice area but spaces are rather close. no wifi and a bit expensive for what you get. no laundy either. not a bad place but not what i expected out of Ft. Jackson. First training facility way back when. great campers for the most part but like all. it only takes one. atleast 5 miles from any military shopping.

This is a really nice park. Very friendly and well kept. Nice bath houses.
As others have stated, no interent, and a long way into post if Gate 5 is closed, i only have a couple of minor quibbles other than the distance to anywhere you might want to go in Columbia. The garbage cans are the sort that you can only put in one item at a time, unless you use one of the large dumpsters which for some reason are so high up that you need a really good arm and a really good aim to get rid of your trash.
I stayed for two weeks and it was quite nice.

The sites are all well spaced offering full hookups w/50 amp power. The pads easily accomidated our 45' MH. No wifi/tv and accessing post was not easy requiring a 15 mile drive if gate 5 is closed. The park roads need some work to take care of some washouts. We only overnighted but would be a relaxing one week stay.

Great campground. One of the best military campgrounds. Two picnic tables, double wide pad, grill, firepit, all in your own site. Sites are as larger as a 1/8 acre or more.

outstanding park. Wooded, level spots. Good water pressure and power. Great swimming lake. Access the base via Gate 5 but be aware of scheduled gate closings.
