I can see that this is usually a fairly nice place. We were here just overnight, camping in a van, and there were very few other people here. It is mostly seasonals, some sites kept up nicely, others being allowed to deteriorate. Jim Thorpe is a nice little town! I heartily recommend the Union Publick House for supper.

Camped here in a 35-ft class A. Do NOT get here through the town. The nice folks at the office will give the back way in that makes much more sense. Nice 30-amp sites in the trees. The 50-amp sites (our preference) is out in the open, which allowed us to get satellite service. Upper row of 50 amp sites are pretty close together and right by the road. The lower row was close to the pool and playground but was severely not level. I was up on 6-inches of board and could still not get completely level. That is why 3-stars. Otherwise ok place. Poor Verizon service, but free internet. Owner very nice and thoughtful. Indicated his plan on getting additional stone to raise up and level the area in question. A work in progress. I will be back since it is the only campground close to town and the town is quaint with a great little music venue. Lots of restaurants.

Going through Jim Thorpe to get to the camp was extremely tight. Once in camp you had to maneuver through trees just to get to your site. Sites were not close to being level.
