Stayed twice at Bald Eagle during mid November. Check in quite confusing as to price, common to many PA parks. A bit pricey. Park was very busy during Penn State college activities and a regatta on the lake. Last year’s flooding damaged several site areas. Very clean restrooms and great hot showers! Don’t approach over the mountain through Howard. Terrible road!

Nice facilities. Grounds are in good condition. They have some nice educational events. The beach is very nice although it is a bike ride or a short car ride away from the campgrounds. The boating and fishing is spectacular. Many of the campsites, if not all, are very exposed. You may want to bring a canopy or something else to shelter yourself from the sun or elements. There aren't many trees overhead.
