Beautiful and clean! We will be back!

Just returned home after staying 3 nights. Large, nicely wooded sites. Clean, bright bath houses. Very quiet in our area. Easy to make reservations but the park also accepts late arrivals on the honor system. All the sites in our area were electric only, but didn’t seem to be a problem with hydrants and bath houses close by. Lake and trails within easy walking distance. Large pool was closed for 2 days for lack of lifeguards.

Stayed one night passing through. Nice state park. Wooded big private sites. Registration and payment is honor system. Find an empty site, drop payment in the slot. Beautiful kayaking/fishing lake. Only 4 stars because shower houses usable but need improving.

Lackawanna State Park is beautiful. Our campsite felt private and shaded. We enjoyed the trail system and kayaking on the lake where we saw heron and beavers. Since we don't own a kayak we appreciated the boat rental option. The ranger was incredibly helpful and gave us advice about where to go biking. Love the lending library near the entrance to the campground. Highly recommend camping here!
