A pretty park with lots of trees. For as many sites as there were, they were nicely spaced. As others have said, the sites are pretty unlevel. The walk around the lake was nice. No alcohol is allowed, as apparently is the case in all PA state parks. But we were asked literally three times when we checked in about it. It was easier to cross the Canadian border. It was pretty obnoxious. But it did cut down on loud holiday weekend crowds.

Nice park. Be advised if they say slight grade to site they mean a substantial grade. Nice lake. Hiking. The late check out at 3pm is nice. Would stay here again.

Campsite #24 is not at all level and is difficult to get into. Bathrooms not clean. No water at sites. Two shower places for 200 sites. Rotting picnic table. Range helpful but that is all we can say positive. We didn’t stay long enough to try the trails or the lake. Limited cell service. All the other PA state parks we have been to have been stellar; this one is the sad exception. Needs some attention.

If you have a coach or trailer take exit 131 from I-85. Do not take exit 124 as that route has a steep hairpin curve and your coach/trailer will bottom out.If you do end up on this route continue past the hairpin a few miles up the mountain (Brockton Mountain Drive), take a right at end on Burma Rd. (aka 1006) then right on Morea Rd. and it will take you to the interchange at exit 131 where you can turn around and go back without navigating hairpin. Once you get to campground it is very wooded with sites close together. Nice lake.

Conveniently located within 5 miles of I-81. Tricky directions. Signage is poor. Street address is 220 Locust Lake road, barnesville, PA. Follow signs to Mountain View Golf Course. Contact phone for campground: 570-467-2772.
Generous, reasonably priced sites. Small trout stocked lake. Beach for swimming, easy hiking trails. Allows pets at certain sites. Restrooms clean and showers hot and free. Would camp again there.
