It was clean. Very very close sites. Fire pit way to close to border shrubs. All dirt. Would be a mess with kids. Goat trail down to beach is awful.

We stopped at this KOA after a long day of touring the coast. The site was all that we needed; we were off season so only two of the stalls in the bathhouse were open though there were eight on site, so it was congested at times to use the restroom. It芒鈧劉s a beautiful location on the water and the spots with a view are worth the extra money! A good place to spend the night, but wouldn芒鈧劉t plan a long stay here.

Um....Feel obliged to offer a contrasting point of view as we are baffled by the high marks for this spot. We have an rv and were looking for a site with hookups, which we got (see pic.) Maybe it芒鈧劉s a sliding scale for KOAs....maybe if you have kids and need a play structure...but seriously: rolled in last night and as we sit here on a beautiful morning, cigarette smoke wafts in the windows from the smokers 8 feet away, the wildlife sounds are: an idling V8, hacking coughs from the smokers. We chose not to build a fire, as the fire ring was about three feet from the dump pipe from the site next door. Tried the 芒鈧搉ature trail芒鈧 to the beach this morning: one person wide so no place to pull out if you pass someone and nearly overgrown with vines. It芒鈧劉s a pity, as the location over the river could be amazing. We had a sliver of a view from our 芒鈧揹eluxe site芒鈧 (#20) but mostly just saw the trailers on either side of us. Seriously scratching our heads about the rave reviews. Our summary: nope.

Stayed here for 3 nights. Pros: clean, friendly staff, short drive to beaches, seal watching area (with seals both times we visited) a short downhill walk from the campground, quiet campground. Cons: small tight sites with little privacy. We will definitely be coming back as it is a great location to Newport, seal rocks, and a ton of beaches.

We chose to stay here May 1, 2018, coming up the coast as it was too windy, we felt, staying on one of the nearby state parks. This park on the bluff afforded a view down onto the bay, and maybe it was less windy, but not sure. Anyway, it is well maintained, good restrooms. We would stay here again if needing a place around here.

Great campground. Paved roads with gravel sites. Sites are a little narrow but many have high hedges between them which is great. Wifi sucks butvtgey own up to it in their brochure.

The owner and staff of this KOA are wonderful! We were offered a site that had only water and power that we were grateful to take as the park was full. This park is impeccably maintained. Would definitely stay again!
Correction on my previous post....we had full hooks ups! It was a narrow site, but we fit in fine. We were in a truck/camper.

Great friendly and helpful staff. Gravel sites are well kept and ours was spacious but backed up to other site with no barrier or shrubs so privacy not the greatest. Restroom/showers clean as well as laundry. Cable and wi-fi weak. Verizon also week,At&T better. Dog run is fairly private beach but trail is a little tricky at bottom. I would definitely stay there again but I'd push for view sites overlooking bay.

The dry camp has a great view, but no dump station and the office staff did not know where I could find a water faucet for fresh water.
