This was our first RV trip. We stayed in loop A which is a short walk to the lake and Marina. The shop at the lake has the essentials but they also have rentals (boats (motor and paddle), kayaks, SUPs etc.). The beach is a little rocky so water shoes are recommended. The site is pet friendly and our pup enjoyed the lake and walks through the loops. The town of Enterprise is good for stocking up on groceries, but Joseph is a cool town with shopping and restaurants. There are also a number of nearby activities at the little swiss village (signage near the park entrance) like the Wallowa Tram, go carts and putt putt. The tram and views up top were great. The restaurant was just ok. Good to grab a drink, but the service wasn’t great. Terminal Gravity brewing in Enterprise on the other hand had a really cool vibe, great beer, food and service.

Very nice campground. Staff friendly and helpful. Lots of trees. Sites a bit close but not objectionally so. We stayed on the A loop. Bathroom was a bit small. Bathroom and shower facilities were neat and clean. Good utility hookups.

This is a very nice campsite, electricity water hook up sewer very friendly, deer come right into the camp. If you have dogs it is friendly, however keep them on a leash. Lots of other animals and dogs around. Make sure to get a shady spot for your animals.

We have stayed at Wallowa Lake State Park a number of times and never get tired of the beauty of this area. Our latest stay was in June of 2015. We were in a motorhome but this park is very tent friendly. We were pleased to find that the state has put sewers into a number of the former WE only sites. This park is a little smaller than some of the state parks on the coast and has a peace about it that Fort Stevens, for instance, lacks. This is a great place for families who enjoy the outdoors. The climate is dry alpine so summer temperatures are comfortable for all kinds of activities. Besides the scenery, we enjoy kayaking, fishing, and hiking when at WLSP. One special feature of this park are the nearly tame deer who wander through the campground at will. Nearby Joseph also has lots of things to see and do.
