We were pleased to find a state park that has full hookups. Lots of walking trails and many places to visit, such as the Peter Iredale wreck, Lake Coffenberry, and Lewis and Clark National Historical Park. We had a very nice site with lots of trees, deer visiting camp every day and lots of birds. Over-the-air TV reception was very poor as was Verizon coverage. Laundromat nearby at the KOA was very reasonably priced.

Great park - nice friendly staff, good playground, a lot to do, Costco nearby. The only concern we had - too many mosquitos. Verizon and T-Mobile both have 2 bars.

We stayed here in September 2013 and kept extending our stay. In addition to being a beautiful park with lots to do, it is also a great place to stay if you want to go to Astoria, Lewis and Clark National Historical Park, Seaside, and Cannon Beach. Although some reviewers say a reservation is not necessary, we were lucky to get in on a weekend due a cancellation! So my advice is to be safe and make a reservation. Our loop's shower/restroom areas were clean and usable.

Beautiful park! Never camped under trees this tall & unless you looked at a map you wouldn't know you are so close to the beach. Kayaked on Coffenberry Lake & road bikes all over. Great facilities, nice sites & staff. Hope someday to visit again.

Great spots, we got a cancellation on day of in July, they were booked solid otherwise. Sites have nice privacy. Kids loved bike trails. Shipwreck was cool too

Pros:
- huge amount of fairly well laid out sites, most were level and all paved. Offer a good amount of privacy. Big rigs will navigate fine.
- many activities such as bike trails and hiking trails are available.
- full cell service.
- nice sized playground for the kids.
Cons:
- most site will not support satellite due to tree cover.
- the bath house on our loop was functional but very dirty. Muddy floors.
Final Words:
This is a giant park so we had no issue getting a spot without reservations in June. They have created a lot of privacy with natural landscaping between sites. The parking pads are paved but most sites lacked any grass for your outdoor area. This created a muddy mess when it rained. I WOULD stay here again without question. Very nice short or long term experience.

Love this park! We discovered it last year, and have been back at least 5 times. Lots of fun places to visit, beautiful and well maintained campground, and amazingly quiet despite the number of campsites.
