This resort has done a lot of upgrades/cleaning up the last couple of years. Open year round, very close to mt bachelor. Spaces are large with full hookups, including a water tap heater, although no sewer in winter. Bathrooms were clean and warm, couldn't ask for more. Highly recommend during winter!

Tons of upgrades from prior years! We were pleasantly surprised by the improvements put into place since 2022. The roads are newly graveled, the restrooms and showers upgraded and very clean, laundry well-maintained and the entire park refreshed. The sites are large and wooded. Picnic tables are new. Electric and water work well, both dump stations well-maintained. Location is excellent for visiting Sunriver, Bend, Paulina Lake, and Crater Lake. One of our favorite Thousand Trails campgrounds. We stayed here July 2023.

We were there in mid April and there was a bit of snow here and there. The place was almost empty except for a significant number of full time and seasonal residents. It looked like maybe a third of the spaces were dedicated to those.
Most of the available spaces were very large and well separated from each other. The place is very much like a State Park except for the nicer sites. Lots of trees around and each site has a table and really nice fire pit- not those 2 foot deep burn barrels that the Oregon State Parks are changing to these days. There were no sewer hookups but the water service and power pedestals were modern and well maintained. The dump station was conveniently located and well kept.
The camp personnel were friendly and helpful. The store was densely stocked with necessities as well as niceties and surprisingly, the prices were reasonable. We patronized their new addition, a food truck that serves pizza and sandwiches. The pizza was a little expensive but it was outstanding! Right up there on the list of the best we’ve ever had.
They had a cute Western Village type area that was interesting and amusing but being so early in the year there wasn’t much going on. I would imagine that a little further into the summer it will be a lot more lively. One endearing feature is the rabbits. They look like domesticated pets and roam freely with abundant food and water provided. We probably saw 20 or so while we were walking around and they are really cute.
If there is anything negative to say about our opinion it’s that you can get a reservation but not a specific site. Once you check in it’s like festival seating. I can imagine trying to find a spot on a busy summer weekend being an ugly experience. Fortunately we are now able to book our arrivals at times that are likely to be slow.
We’ve done motorhome camping for about 30 years and have always shunned Thousand Trails, partly because of a bad experience with a company salesman early on and partly because we prefer camping in the woods as opposed to staying in a trailer park. This visit, thanks to joining Passport America is changing our minds. We’re talking about trying out more Thousand Trails parks.

Ok campground. Pool for kids and adults is a plus in summer. Dusty roads and old table at site. No sewer but that is no issue for us. There are dumpstations. Price is too high (63 bucks).

Don't waste your time on this place! We've been on the road across the country and this is by far the worst campground we've stayed at. We have enjoyed other independent campgrounds, KOA's and lively state parks campgrounds with much better facilities and nicer surroundings. All roads are dusty dirt and each site is surrounded by nearly dead, already dead or fallen dead trees. Not to mention they charged us an outrageous daily rate of $60 which is way more than we paid at luxury RV resorts. I won't even describe the bathrooms/showers - I wouldn't bathe my dog in there. They will also pressure you into a Thousand Trails membership. If this campground is an example of what they offer, no thanks.

Friendly staff. Kim was very helpful. Clean & warm bathrooms. Great location. This park would be amazing if they had full hook ups.
