Recreationland Campground, also called Recreationland Tent & Trailer Park (www.rec-land.com) has a small town family run business feel. Its gravel roadway and RV pads are pothole free and there is ample space between sites. The laundry facilities are reasonable priced and clean though the public washrooms and showers could stand a little more attention.
The park is laid out with the long term tenants separate from the overnight and short term guests. They have 30 pull thru sites and with 50 full hookups though only 3 have 50 amp power. It is a little tight parking a large 43 ft Class A like ours but quite doable and once parked there is ample parking space for the tow car.
Recreationland Campground is located off Hwy-117 near Cumberland, ON, a short 30 minute drive from Parliament Hill in Ottawa. A park 'n ride station for public transit into town is only 10 minutes away. At only $32.50/night (CDN) for a 50 amp, full service pull-thru, this the best deal in the Ottawa area.

Quaint and rustic campground. Only two 50 amp sites and both are pull thru at 90 angle to road, so difficult to turn into without going off the gravel. Would make more sense to have angled pull thrus. Lots of rain so everything is flooded right now. Washrooms not in very good condition. In fact one of them is closed. Laundromat on site. Mostly full timers and snowbirds. Convenient to Ottawa. Super Walmart, Canadian Tire, etc in Rockland. One of only two campgrounds in our Nation's capital that offer 50 amp service. Wifi is good but is not free and password is only good for one computer. Rates are very expensive given the amenities in the park. Pool is opening for Victoria Day weekend if the rain ever stops. Dogs must be on leash. Not really big rig friendly. We were here in a 45 ft Motorhome.
