We had the most FANTASTIC stay here!!!!!! We are normally boondock ears, so the beauty, peacefulness, and nature was right up our alley!!!!! We were on both campgrounds; and found that we LOVED Pine Lane the best. Remington Park is close to the (very clean) showers and laundry, the swimming hole/kayak shove off, dog park…….PX…..fitness center. We really appreciated Lorraine and Carrie; who were so kind during our stay. Also thought the Outdoor Recreation Folks were very cool too…….LOVE the e-bikes!!!!! There was a battalion deployment to IRAQ, while we were there…….My prayers to our beautiful/brave soldiers, and to the loved ones who will worry until they are home again. Thank you all at Fort Drum, for everything you do!!!!!!! Patty Tschanz/Steve Vreatt.

We stayed a week July 17-24, 2021 in our 40' class A with tow vehicle. Super long sites and very far apart. The best Famcamp we've been to as far as the sites go. Very quiet and lots of trees all around. Nice to be close to exchange and commissary, yet feel like you're remote camping. We didn't explore since we wanted a week of downtime and this was the perfect place. No wifi, so bring your own - we have Verizon and it was very spotty and slow. Pleasantly surprised by how beautiful it is here and the temps. Sunny with no humidity! Love it! Even after it rained, just cool and fresh. We will definitely be back when in the area! We camped at Remington Park RV Campground in a Motorhome. Beware of GPS directions - even staying here for a week it still tries to take us on closed roads and gates. Huge base with lots of roads - great for road bikes.

One of the nicest Mil campgrounds we have been on. All sites are drive thru with huge concrete slabs. Lots of space between duties. Office staff very nice and their are laundry facilities on site. Cabins also nice and allow pets. There is a small lake and beach there in Remington Park. Easy on and off through main gate. Also great service at DEERS office. Need Appt which can be made on Ft Drum website.

Our trip to Fort Drum was very disappointing. Great campsites. Our complaint was the yard was overgrown up to doors on motor home. Concrete slabs needs to be wider. Could not put a rug at door with the grass being so high. It rained during the night so had to wade water over ankles. The cabins and campsites around the office was mowed and maintain but ours on upper end was not. Also went to do laundry at 7:30 and found the doors locked. Open at 9. What camper does laundry that late when it's time to go sightseeing. Very inconvenient. Why lock laundry rooms at all. 24 hours a day should be open.

Ft Drum's, Remington Campground delivered much note than my wife and I ever expected! The campground host and hostess were friendly, gracious, and helpful. The Host even offered tools and or physical assistance when my truck ran out of diesel fuel; on the RV Pad; how lucky was that?
Having served at Fort Drum on the past, I wasn't as bothered by the rain water pounding as other campers were. We also have our own generator, so when we lost power, we were prepared for that too. (power loss, or "brown outs can be a relatively common occurrence at any campground, so be prepared!)
The outdoor movie complete w/free snacks was an added bonus.
All in all, we gave it a full stars!

P.S.
The $25.00 weekly charge for unlimited downloads WIFI made up for the lack of cable TV, but I understand that it's coming soon. Do not hesitate to make use of this place!
