Lovely small campground located lakeside. In addition to men's and women's bathrooms with a shower, the bathhouse also includes two family restrooms with showers, and an outside utility sink. The nearby town has a small amusement park and boardwalk as well a variety of restaurants.

I live 7 miles from this State Park. It used to be in very good shape but has really gone downhill over the past few years. They've eliminated several sites, only one bathroom with only one shower in each side, piles of dirt and stones in the parking lot that hasn't moved in at least a year. I tented there in 2008 and would have given it 4 stars then. Tented there again in spring 2012 and 3 stars is pretty generous. It was the first weekend of camping and about 1/3 full. Staff forgot to open the men's room so they had to use the women's room for 1 night. Handy utility sinks have disappeared too. The park has incredible potential based on location, but as a NYS employee I can tell you that improvements are not the State's priority, just keeping them minimally operating is the unfortunate reality at this time. Great for a day visit and for kids, but unless I see some considerable changes I won't be going or recommending to others. Really quite a shame, Oneida Lake is beautiful with great sunsets.
