Very nice campground, lots of trees and privacy. Reasonable price, about 44$ US one night walk-in. Showers, fire pit, hiking, swimming (in lake, it was great during heat wave). A little out the way off highway, but worth it, and lost GPS bad cell for T-Mobile, better for AT&T and Verizon according to girl at check in

Great quiet campground. No hookups, but the bathrooms were new and clean.
There were plenty of trails for hiking and walking. It was quiet, and the staff were very friendly.
The beach was sand, which is nice for upstate New York.
The price is reasonable. And there is plenty to see outside the campground.

We were looking for a quiet place to stay in the general area. We are self-contained and did not need hook-ups or bath facilities. We visited in the off season.
This is a very nice campground with relatively large, well maintained camp sites and good variety of shady and sunny sites. There are no hook ups, no wifi, although ok Verizon and ATT cell coverage. There is a nice swimming beach on Thompson Lake.
The $18 fee for a nice, primitive site was reasonable. Note there's an $5 additional fee for out of state residents.
