My wife and I stayed two nights along with our two dogs. They are a dog friendly resort, but no designated pet area. However I found some trails behind the campground ground were they could run around. The grounds are very well maintained. The camp sites themselves are okay, some are a bit small and uneven in places. My site was perfectly level, so I didn’t have to use levelers on the trailer, but the table and fire pit sloped downhill with a rugged asphalt edge. Other sites looked great. All sites are not created equal here, so just be prepared to use a leveling system and it’ll be fine. Road noise wasn’t bad, I was about in the middle. A few sites are close the Hwy 50, but most are far enough away. The best most secluded sites are way in the back. There is a nice beach and marina just a short walk across the Hwy. everything north of the marina is dog friendly. Overall we had a great stay and will return. Booking and check-in were easy which was done at the campground office on the east side of the Hwy, so they must have fix some of the issues other people were experiencing. My only advice is to have a leveling system if needed and bring your own firewood, it’s $12 at the store for six pieces.

Big rig possible NOT big rig friendly. We are traveling as a family with 3 40ft motor homes and tow vehicles. Getting in our sites was difficult. We are good drivers with a lot of experience ! Sites are all very unlevel. Close access to the beach.. however you must cross a 4 lane very busy hwy to get there. Check in is also across the hwy. They charge a nightly deposit that you don’t get back unless you checkout prior to departure.

Was a little hesitant based off of other poor reviews, but this place is the perfect camping spot. If I have to put a negative it’s the close campsites, but that doesn’t bother me. If you’re looking at living in a forest area with bonfires and picnic tables next to you, swimming in a beautiful lake with Mountain View’s, and an incredible sunset and star view at night, then this is the place for you. I recommend bringing your own food, drinks, etc as the store is quite expensive. Will be back soon.

The resort is beautiful. The sites are nice as well but a bit tight for larger rigs, especially the back-in sites. About internet: if you plan on working or connecting you’ll be disappointed. No resort wifi. My Starlink is obstructed by the trees. Both Verizon and T-mobile are weak as well.

Ok I did read all the reviews before I got here and despite that I booked. First off check in isn’t a straight forward process and made complicated by checking in at one location and walking across a dangerous Hwy to finalize payment. Both clerks were courteous the lady on the Rv side sounded a little over her job but still customer service jobs are not for the faint. Our site was tight but we managed to fit our 36 ft long 5th wheel and tow vehicle. If you have slides be aware the trees are close and our site was also level. Not all sites are level so be aware that blocking may be required. Our site in particular was sloped on the entry side of our trailer so watch your step. The fire pit was was not cleaned out looks like the previous campers used it as a ash tray full of cigarettes. The picnic table has a hole burned through the wood plus the seats are cracked. Amenities such as showers laundry were clean but if you needed quarter or wanted to buy wood you need to go across the street again to pay for wood comeback to check in where they would then open shed to give you your $12 dollar fire wood. On the plus you are directly across the street from the clean beach and boat rentals. Don’t drive it’s a 12 dollars a day to park at beach. Other suggestions fuel is cheaper on Nevada side food and alcohol is cheaper on California side. Hope my review helps not horrible but has so much potential to be better for the price you pay.

Beautiful, well maintained campground. Would have been a nice experience to stay there if we hadn't been double billed for both nights we stayed there. Once they get your credit card number at checkin, they help themselves to your card any time they want, authorized or not. The last billing took place after we were already home. The worst part though is the way staff handled the situation when we brought it to their attention. The campground cashier was very rude and condescending, rolling her eyes at us like a child and repeatedly denying there was a problem no matter what evidence we provided to the contrary. Had to demand a manager to get any help resolving the issue. After all of this, the campground double billed us again the next morning. Finally got my refund for the double billed portion a week later after multiple calls and emails. No other compensation was offered to correct our experience. These people obviously don't care if you have a pleasant experience.

Like Marc from Washington if there was a lower rating then one I would give it. Made reservations well in advance we were put in a site next to the entrance, the office staff told us that was the only site available but there were plenty of open sites for the week we were there. The front of our 37ft. motothome was alnost two feet in the air just to get it close to level. Would not go back. This place is owned by a large corp. Aramark no one seems to care just there for a paycheck.

The campsite was in a great location. Right across from the lake, but no view. There's a beach, rentals and tours across the street.

I tent camped. $32. The sites are right on top of each other and extremely small.
The campsite does offer great amenities. Showers, bathrooms and laundry.

I give this a 1 star only because there is no option for a zero. I made a reservation for a pull through site many, many months ago. Today I arrived, 1200 miles from home, to check in and stay for 5 days in the middle of a 3 week family camping trip. We were give site 114 and directions to it. I arrived at the site and immediately recognized it. I have seen this location at every campground I have ever been to. But other camp operators keep the dumpster there. The site was too short, at the entrance next to the hwy, and had no area of its own. I mean no picnic table or even a place for your chairs. Standing there dumbfounded I was approached by a kind gentleman from a few sites away. He stated he stays here every year for the past several years. He said that I was the 3rd person this week he has watched them try and pawn this site off on. I explained that i had made the reservation 8 months prior. He said "no matter" they do not reserve specific sites. He said to just go and ask the staff for one of the several other empty pull thrus just up the isle like everyone before me had. We politely did. And we're told that the one we were in was the only available one. I wish I had the capability to post a picture of site 114 so everyone could see what I mean. Far from home and facing vacation disaster after having driven from Utah and not wanting to continue, we turned to Allstays, got our deposit back and left. I quickly called the south Lake Tahoe KOA who told me to come by. Even if we had to stay by their garage we would work something out. They first found us a place in their overflow, then came to us an hr later and told us they rearranged some reservations and got us a full hookup site for our entire stay. KOA 5 stars. Zephyr Cove...never again.
