Really nice clean campground for tents or small RVs. Nestled among rocks and giant pines, each campsite has a level platform, in spite of the surrounding hills. A bit pricey ($25/), considering off-the-grid camping and no water, but, hey, crazy insane Tahoe is just down the hill. Be prepared for 9000’. Highly recommend!

Clean, recently updated by ForestService and well maintained. Great campground if you want to tent, or have a small-medium sized RV and don’t need hookups. Although the description says it accepts big rigs, up to 55’, that’s not entirely accurate. There are only one or two sites that could take even a 40’ RV. We were here during the summer of COVID-19 and it stayed full all summer long, every night.
