Large, quiet lot for RVs/trucks behind & 1 short block from historic Hotel Nevada/Casino in the old, historic part of town. When you see H Nevada and Denny芒鈧劉s sign, take the first left past it, then another left and you芒鈧劉ll see a car parking area & just beyond it is the large, paved and level RV parking area. There芒鈧劉s no amenities other than free parking, so I gave it 3 stars.

Great overnight stop! Easy in and out, felt safe, and was great to be right in the heart of this cute little town. Good dog walking areas. A local told us the downtown will be getting a nice 芒鈧揻acelift芒鈧 in the coming year and will be hosting more events, etc. It芒鈧劉s a rising town instead of another dying one.

We were looking for a place to stay in the general area to break up a long drive. We're self contained and don't require facilities. We stayed on a weeknight in early October in our 25 foot MH.

The Hotel Nevada in downtown Ely allows free truck and RV parking in a well-marked lot behind the casino. It's dry camping in a paved lot and met our needs for a quick overnight stay. There were 2 other RVs and one truck overnighting during our stay. The parking lot is level and well lit. It was a quiet night. There is good ATT and Verizon cell coverage.

The casino has a Denny's inside and is a block from the parking lot. Ely is known for beautiful murals painted throughout town which were fun to discover. There's a railroad museum in town.

Nice spot to stop for the night as we are traveling from St. Anthony, ID to Mammoth Lakes, CA. Good size parking lot, we had 4 RVs all hauling trailers and we fit in this lot. When we pulled in about midnight there were 2 big rigs so not much else would have fit. It's dimly lit, has a spot to walk dogs, quick walk to the casino, there's also a Dennys inside (which we grabbed a bite and coffee in the a.m). As the previous reviewer noted we hit up the Train Museum in the morning, and well worth it. It'll cost you $12 p/p to get in.

Fair-sized parking lot near the center of town. 15 RVs could park there but there was only five or six when I was there. The Elks is right next-door but doesn't seem to have a lot going on. Free. Not very noisy. Seems safe but no patrols. Good cell, TV connections.

Be sure to visit Renaissance Village and the Rail road museum. The tour at the train museum is excellent and well worth the $12. It is led by the head of the museum can you get to wander around inside the buildings were trains are being repaired.
