I agree with Mary! Do not use this area. It is way too rough, with no open parking.

DANGEROUS! DO NOT USE dispersed camping on BLM land 6 miles east of Ely. The rough road goes up a hill .6 miles and ends in a gutted rough mess of a road going nowhere. We turtled our RV on high center and had to be towed out for $250!! Tow truck guy says they call this road the "Honey Pit" because they get called so often to tow out cars - 20 in May and June of 2017 alone.
