A gem 15 miles outside of Elko. Electric & water for $25/night. Nicely spaced sites, beautiful setting, covered picnic tables, grills, and fire rings. Clean restrooms with showers. A bit dusty and shoreline and reservoir water not real great for playing or swimming, but perfect for boating.

Fantastic alternative to camping at one of the big casino RV lots in Elko. Pulled in on a Monday evening and was surprised how full the camping area was. Found a really nice site overlooking the lake for $14 (non-resident). Nice, clean showers and toilets. Only downside was the bugs--especially mosquitos. But that's to be expected near water, and why they invented Deet.

The area by the headquarters is higher and has better views. The another area lower down is less marked for sites, just pick a place.

The improved sites are closed for renovations. They have some wilderness sites and permit office is open.
