Loved this place. Great location, friendly people, restaurant and music so much fun. Good walk to view ovens, loved hearing the waves at night. Bathroom shower facilities a bit rough but clean. Only complaint is they could spread out the few campers that were there in early September. Ask for site facing the ocean. Hit up margarita fridays at the restaurant and sing along.

July 2023: Location, location, location. Superb location and view, sites facing the ocean with walking trails along the cliffs. We did not use the bath nor pool facilities, but they did look a bit worn. Bar/restaurant on site. The park is privately owned by the Chapin family (of Harry Chapin fame). On the night we were there Steve Chapin performed in the restaurant - an extremely pleasant evening. There is plenty of room, but they are now limiting motor home size to 30-ft max, apparently a statement about energy efficiency. We would stay there again if in the area.

This is a wonderful campground. Facilities have improved since other reviews. The location is unsurpassed. The restaurant and other amenities are good. I gave it 4 stars because it’s a little pricey and I didn't like having to pay extra $5 for my dog.

I agree with a lot of comments by last reviewer but I paid for premium site plus dog charge $82 and had a wonderful experience as views and location superb. Showers awful, pool in need of new liner, playground needs overhaul and animals not well looked after BUT location, the sea, panning for gold, beach combing, live music with lovely meal, the caves and oh yes the location. Tents or RV awesome. Yes it was tight and not great level but hey if you aren't a Princess and embrace the location then all will be good. Suggest one night though as showers horrible!

Never thought a 70$ per night camping would get rated so low. That's with ocean view.
Sites are not level at all. Width is calculated to the inch (very narrow).
Some campers had 5 dogs in one cage next to our site. Unbelievable.
The so called petting zoo is in distress.
Playground is old and dated.
Office, showers, and everything else is old.
We were charged 7 dollars fee because we changed site (from 60 to 50$).
Hence never coming back. Don't go.
