Stayed two nights before taking the ferry off NFLD and so happy we did spend 2 nights. It is a very beautiful area and when checking in we were given directions to drive a small loop that included lunch at the scenic view restaurant that had the best fish and chips. Campground is well kept, large sites and full hook ups was great. After some busy days on our tour of NFLD we really enjoyed a comfortable stay and relaxing scenic drive of the area. Highly recommend this campground.

Just overnight prior to taking the ferry to Nova Scotia, but seems like a place worth several days. Unfortunately, it rained pretty hard all the afternoon and evening we were there. Sites well separated, WiFi good at the social center. Folks at office very nice. Our site was level, and remained fairly mud free during all that rain. Would stay again, hopefully for several days.

As fulltime RVer's we have been to a lot of campgrounds and resorts, and done our share of boondocking, and while we visited Codroy valley a number of years ago, we knew then it was a nice park, but at the time we did not know just how special the park was. But beyond the large scenic sites in the beautiful Codroy valley, it was Alice, Dennis, and their family that made this park standout over all these years. This park is too often just used as an overnight spot before or after the ferry out of Port-A-Basque, and people do not take the time to enjoy the park, the staff, as well as the area around the park. And if you missed checking out the gift/craft store you missed an unique view into Newfoundland, we were lucky enough to spend some time in the valley and experience the culture and the people, we made friends for life that summer a few years ago.

This is really one of the nicest campgrounds we have ever stayed in. Great landscaping, good site layout, and wonderful staff. It is also in a part of Newfoundland that should be explored. We stayed here our first two nights after arriving and planned to spend the last night before we left. But luckily the ferry was delayed for two days so we got to spend a very pleasant 3 nights.

I heartily echo all the positive comments already written. This is a great place to stay, and is central to a lot of largely undiscovered natural beauty in this province.

Wow... what a nice campground. Stayed one night when we entered Newfoundland and made sure to stay 2 nights when we headed back towards the ferry. Beautiful,.. very level sites... lots of trees and greenery. Nice trail and a very pretty craft store where we bought a few items. All the people are super friendly and happy to chat with you. This campground has been run by this family for decades and it shows that they survive by having s superior campground with top notch people running it. Pssttt... firewood for your campfire is free! In Newfoundland... you have to stop here!!!

We stayed here as part of a Fantasy RV Tour. The park-like grounds were one of the prettiest we utilized during our month-long tour. We didn't need to use our air-conditioner when we stayed so the 30 amp was not a problem.

Grand Codroy RV-tent Camping Park is located a short distance off the Trans-Canada Highway as it passes through Doyles, NL in the Codroy Valley. Located a short 30 minutes drive north of the Port Aux Basques ferry terminal, it is ideally located for those getting off or about to get on the boat to/from Nova Scotia.

The Grand Codroy is easily the nicest RV park we stayed in during our month-long tour across and around Newfoundland. Its spacious sites are spread around nicely landscaped grounds and both the campsite and facilities are spotlessly clean. Its sites are back-in but they utilized the looped drive we were on to enable us to back almost straight in with lots of clearance for our 43 ft Class A. The site was long enough that we had plenty of room to park our tow car in front. The sites were spread out with trees and lush green grass all around.

Of all the RV parks we stayed at in Newfoundland, this is the only one I have given a 5 out of 5 rating. the only negative is they are 30 amp only, which could be more significant in hot weather. Our nightly rate was $34.
