Stayed here, Wednesday, June 25, 2025. Came in the east entrance. Campsites are huge. Camp host said You can have as many vehicles as you want that fit in a campsite, & some sites have five units sharing on Fourth of July weekend. Especially the site near the pavilion with all the picnic tables and grills. Water spigot between the toilet and the 鈥渟ign in kiosk鈥� was easily accessible to my small motorhome. They don鈥檛 care if you drive or park on the grass, which makes most sites easy to level. Two large evergreens provided shade and great fragrance even though I was right near the pit toilet. Definitely need earplugs for the trains right across the street.

The park is free with donations requested. Excellent Verizon signal. There are three entrances. I stayed in the west entrance, and it was very chill and nice. At this entrance there is a huge field marked 鈥渙verflow camping.鈥� The middle entrance has the dump station on the left as you go in. I did not see a water spigot that you could get a camper close to except the one at the dump station (nope, nope, nope!) The center area has more camping and and a better boat ramp. I didn鈥檛 really see much what was in the east entrance. It was beautiful and quiet, but the trains were next level. I like trains and this was too many trains. Two tracks and at times there were trains every five minutes.

We arrived around 6:00 on a Saturday evening and had no problem finding a level place away from other people. Although free, a donation is in order, to keep it nice.

Not a bad park - sites are reactivity level and spacious-dirt and grass sites - they would accept donations for your stay otherwise free

Oliver State Recreation Area, no hookups but clean toilets and free but donations accepted. Only 15 minutes off IH-80 near Bushnell, Nebraska. Lake sites not as level and fill up quickly, but this is paradise just off the interstate and all for a small donation.

Nice place to stay for a few nights. There is a camp host and 14 day max; although there are a few campers that look like they have been longer. There are three entryways- main, east, and west. I don芒鈧�鈩�t think you can get to one area from the other without going to main road. If your looking for the dump station it芒鈧�鈩�s in the main campground...Take a left at the entrance and the dump is about a quarter mile down on the right, next to some bathrooms. Water is also available.

It was a great campground for the price of 芒鈧�艙suggested donation芒鈧�聺 there is a dump station and fresh water available, the park was clean lots of shade. But be aware there are generators running from time to time. I would definitely stay again

This place should be treated like the gem it is! A diamond in the rough. Nearby Visitors' Center recommended we check into either the Main or West campground.脗聽 We chose the Main.脗聽 We picked a lakeside site with shade from a beautiful cottonwood. I spent 45 minutes cleaning this primo site. About 300 cigarette butts, trash, beer cans, bottle caps, etc. Firepit was used as a trashcan/ashtray, but still the ground was also trash covered. (90% "fresh" from last campers).脗聽 Come on people, free lakeside campsite and you can't clean up after yourself and have no respect for those that follow!? Campground certainly not crowded.脗聽 9 other rigs in our area.脗聽Only 2 were occupied.脗聽 14 day limit is ignored by campers and local police.脗聽 A camper had a Sheriff's 72-hour tow-warning sticker dated 7/6 - rig is still there on 8/24. People "nextdoor" visited their camper on Thursday to turn gas on for fridge for the weekend - said they'd been there since July 4 Holiday weekend. That said, they probably aren't keeping others from a site - the park appears terribly under utilized.

A very nice place to stay if you don芒鈧�鈩�t need hook-ups, especially as an overnight stop. We stayed in the east campground in mid-August of 2018 on a weekend and by the end of the day it was full.
