Beautiful campground with well spaced though very oddly shaped sites. Several people got confused while I was there about which electricity, water, and picnic table went with which site. I did not get a waterfront site because the site map online made it look like the water was very far away. It isn芒鈧劉t right at the sites, but the sites have a pretty view of the lake. Verizon suitable for computer work. The nearby town of Waxhaw is cute and has some restaurants and a coffee shop.

Great campground. I am local and have stayed in group campsites, tent sites and now a travel trailer. I have stayed in this camp ground for 25+ years and it芒鈧劉s only getting better. Lots of fun for the kids, bike/hiking/horse trails, swimming beaches (not open during Covid season), access to the day park, boat rentals, etc. clean, and beautiful views of the sunset over the lake. And the ranger, reservation scheduler, and store staff were all super nice and helpful. We are new to RV芒鈧劉ing, so we had lots of questions. It was a last minute reservation and we were on the lake side, but a little further up and it felt a little tight (site 29). Next time with better planning we will lock down some of the higher number sites.

Wonderful park! Almost all sites are lake front and beautiful. Have to arrive by 5pm芒鈧漛efore camp-store closes. Fit our 41芒鈧劉 5er ok. Have a long water hose! FHU $35 and W/E sites $30. Cell coverage good for both ATT & Verizon. Restrooms are pretty clean.

If you travel the back roads like we do, you may find yourself close enough to stay here for a night or two. This is a nice county park situated on a lake but far from the main travel roads. There are mainly water and electric on gravel sites and about sixteen full hookup sites on asphalt. Older shower house but clean enough to use. A camp store with ice and a few provisions is located inside the camping area. I needed to borrow an extra water hose because the supply is so far away from the sites. Nicely shaded. Good roads to the park and inside. Large rigs have no problems. Some of the gravel sites appeared to be unleveled. First time we met someone with a vintage Toyota Winnebago like ours. They were leaving and we were just arriving. We chatted for a few minutes on the roadway. They were 84 years old and still traveling in the Toyota they bought in the late eighty's. Pretty cool! Very nice place but bring an extra water hose.
Verizon 2 dot LTE.
