We really enjoyed the campground! Great spacing between campsites and a clean bathhouse that appears to be recently built. We would definitely camp here again!

Outstanding state park! We full time and this is such a great campground. The sites are level and all are FHU. The bathhouse is spotless and modern. There are also cute sleeping cottages that look fairly new. It was very quiet and serene.

The primitive tent sites are very pretty and you can get very close to the water where you could drop it a kayak or go swimming. You have to go dry camping, but they allow small trailers and campers in this area. Make sure to bring bug spray for the horsefly.

A very new, small state park RV campground with full hookups at the ~20 sites. Campsites are very large and spacious with plenty of room in between. Bathhouse has hot showers and clean restrooms, though only one stall in the men’s room so it got busy in the mornings.
The park has been doing controlled burns in an attempt to build a long leaf pine forest around the campground. So it does seem barren at the moment. No shade at all.
We visited in early May and the birding was outstanding. Plenty of different habitats, tons of birds. We could sit in our site and watch the burned area and get all kinds of migrating birds.

Very clean, quite new, sites are spacious and flat and a good distance from your neighbor. Kind of barren, more grass would be nice. The water pressure was very low.

We visited on a cold January weekend, but found the park to be quite nice. The rv area is fairly new, level, easy in/out with no overhangs, very well cared for, clean, and the bath/restroom building was remarkably clean & modern.
Rv area is a short drive or bike ride down to hiking trails & the water. A short drive into town for supplies, etc.

The RV spots are in a big, open field with no trees! It looks like a parking lot. The area is nowhere near the water. We drove 2 hours to get there, took a look and drove 2 hours straight back home. Two thumbs down for RV camping.
