Very nice! Right on the beach and Intracoastal Waterway. Good fishing. Will come back again.

Nice beach park and easy to find. It is on base so be prepared for that. Sites are okay, but nothing special. Water and electric hookups are in your neighbors site next their picnic table. Very poorly laid out. Short walk to the beach. Mini market is closed for renovation. They are replacing the bridge so it is noisy during the day.

Great location with roomy sites. Short walk to the beach or the intercostal waterway. Helpful staff with a mini mart exchange on site. Paved street is plenty wide enough to allow easy backing into your site. All sites have a large covered picnic tables.

Location: 5 Stars - Beach and the ICW in walking distance
Sites: 3 stars.
Cleanliness of campgrounds: we had to ask for a weed eater as the site has not been maintained for weeks
Office Staff: Manager was rude several times
This campground seem to have people staying in much longer than their allotted times, there are also 2 camphosts
This campground has also held a space from us and kept it empty the entire week we were here ( site is next to the camphost that has been there for 8 years)
Beach entry: several entries with stairs over the Dunes…carefull when you use them, no one maintains these and they are loaded with sand…I think that should be the campgrounds weekly responsibility .
Noise: A new Drwabridge is being built…construction noise ( very loud). 5 Days a week

Great little campground, nice beach right across the street. Staff was extremely pleasant. Bathrooms could be cleaner and cable got like 4 stations.

Love this campground! We have been to 46 states and stayed in many military campgrounds and this one is great!

Absolutely beautiful beach. However, the camp sites are terrible. Half gravel half grass. Had a rain storm and several sites flooded. The bathrooms are not very clean. Even though I loved the beach, I doubt I would return.

Stayed for one and a half weeks in October 2020. Class C motorhome, 31ft with Jeep Wrangler in flat tow. Nice military campground away from hustle and bustle. Recommend disconnecting towed vehicles in parking lot across from MCX store. Spaces can be a little cramped but you have beach and Intracoastal Waterway access a short walk away. Some military operations can occur, fun to watch. Sites are set up a little clunky; water for certain sites are located in the outdoor area of adjacent site. No water/sewer/electric issues. My favorite campground for remoteness of location. Swing bridge over the Intracoastal Waterway opens for boats on a regular basis and has a posted schedule on the bridge building for those that like to plan travel. Have stayed before and will stay again!

Great beach, brand new clean washers and dryers for $1.50, nice spots. It’s about a 10 minute drive to commissary and 30 minutes from sneads ferry and Jacksonville. Full hookups for $30-35/night and dry camping for $12. Friendly camp hosts and reservation staff. Sometimes loud ranges nearby and tons of helicopters but I love the noise!

Stayed 3 nights (Tues-Thurs). Check-in was quick. Sites are too close to on another. We weren’t on sardine row, but even in the back circle it was crowded. Was issued WIFI password but no signal found, so don’t count on it. Got a cable box but our line was dead (site 28). The bathrooms while dated, were functional-requires key card access to get in. Marine Mart was helpful for forgotten items and ICEEs. Mosquitoes are thick here. Place was full up, no empty spots. The beach is great, friendly and watchful lifeguards. Lots of see shells. Found a sharks tooth or two. For the $33 per night for full RV hook-up + working cable/WiFi is about right, but like I said cable and WiFi didn’t work. Staff offered no recompense for these issues. We would stay here again.
