We have been to this location multiple times and it has always been a great place for a quick getaway. The grounds are always clean and in good working order.
The biggest draw for us for this location is the adults with pets only rule. We have become less tolerant to kids in our old age.

I live 30 minutes from this campground. I drove over there and paid $5 for a ‘day pass’!!! My dog had so much fun and the place is so quiet and shady I’m thinking of taking my motorhome over there for a few days. Not economical but bang for the buck. Small con is how much algae/scum is in the pond.

Spent a week here specifically because it is all about your dog. This place has 7 different off leash dog parks, one with a pond your dog can swim in. The park is rustic but immaculate. Some sites have a fenced yard area and a fenced wood deck. There are several cabins, two yurts, some stationary RVs you can rent. Our site accommodated our 43 ft motorhome with room to spare. So quiet and peaceful. This is out in the country so county roads to get there but if we can do it...anyone can! Cable tv has at least 10 channels. Cell service was sketchy. We have our own hotspot so didn’t use their wireless. Bathrooms, laundry and dog baths are great!!! Love this place. Will definitely come back.

Stayed here to attend the dirty dancing festival at Lake Lure. It was a working trip and I was assured that the Internet was upgraded. It stopped working on Friday evening and I was told that someone might come out in a day or two. Could not use my phone as a backup because there was no at&t service in the park. I was told I needed to leave the campground if I needed to contact work. If on vacation just be aware of the internet issues.
It was fun to hear all the dogs saying hello to each other - from yips to deep bellows.

Really enjoyed our stay. Dogs loved it- so many areas for them to roam and play! Except for their baths... but we loved that they had an area to bath and groom them!! The owners were super friendly and helpful and so was all of the staff that we met! About 25 minutes to Lake Lure- which was the reason we were up- but it was an easy drive! We will be back again soon!!

Really nice camp. Very quiet. Super fantastic dog facilities. Owners were friendly and helpful. Reasonably priced. I'd stay there again.
