Excellent campground! Friendly staff and rangers, well maintained. Wonderful large sites, we were at #45, loop B. Near a bubbling stream. We were there Monday -Thursday very quiet.many trails to hike although they recently had a controlled burn in March so much of the undergrowth shows charred trees and stumps. Worth the hike to the falls (300 steps down and back up!) interesting historical homestead hike. Too bad you cannot tour the interiors with a guide though. Many local vineyards and wineries with-in a short scenic drive! All in all I would return for sure!

Beautiful park, great even sites, helpful camp hosts. So many amazing hikes from easy to hard. The rock view at the Homestead, the waterfalls, the mountain view overlooks. Only negative, no Wifi and poor phone service.

Stayed 8/2019. Great Stay! Large, paved, level lots, with electric and water hook ups. Dump station was easily accessible. Very clean, non-alcoholic campground with nice bath houses, good hiking trails, pioneer farm (handicap accessible), swimming with natural water slide. Not close to anything. Most lots had no shade, no privacy. No mountain biking.

Such a nice state park campground! We enjoyed trails in the park that have waterfalls and the mountain summit. The shower house was adequate and grounds were clean. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful campground, especially for a state park. Wonderfully spaced, mostly level sites with a large crushed gravel patio and at least one tree. RV sites have water and electric hookups only, no sewer, but has a dump station at the park exit. Very clean and quiet. Park staff very friendly and helpful. Only down side is absolutely no cell service, which for some isn芒鈧劉t a bad thing. Town is only 20 min away for supplies and cell service. We will definitely be back when in the area again.

We stayed at site 69 from Oct 24 - 28th. The site included a fire ring, picnic table, electric, water. No sewer hook up but dump station is close and accessible. The campground is extremely clean, well kept, quiet, and all sites appear level. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Our Border Collie enjoyed the daily hikes on many of the area hiking trails. This is an excellent spot to get away as cell service was spotty and no cable or wifi. Will stay again in the near future.

We stayed for 2 nights at Stone Mountain State Park campground in site#69 which like all RV sites in the park, only have water/electric hookups. Sites appear leveled but they were not, leveling blocks were used to offset that. The mountains surround the campsite provide some reliefs from sun in the morning and late afternoon, but scorching sun at noon will make your AC working overtime. For $20/night, the campsites are far enough apart and close enough to the bathroom make this stay comfortable. No WiFi anywhere in the park, lack of LTE reception, rerouting campground entrance and gate lock detention nightly, and no alcoholic beverage policy make this park borderline paranoia. Bathroom which consisted of showers and toilets were clean and functional, thanks to diligence cleaning staff who seems to start cleaning around 7AM daily. Dump station is conveniently located outside campground with blue trash receptacles line up for you use. Clean and pleasant place to walk your pooch with paved and spacious campground roads. OTA TV channels were around 4 according to our neighbor, but we got zilch. Nearest grocery and fresh produce (and we meant harvesting the same day fresh) can be found at Pro Stop less than 15mins away after very twisted road. Would we stay again? Perhaps if we can芒鈧劉t find anything else.

We stayed here for 2 nights and absolutely loved it. The sites are all paved with a fire ring and picnic table and appear level, no sewer hook up but you do have water and electric plus a nice dump station. The campground is extremely clean, well kept and quiet. You can pick up some basic needs and firewood at the office. There is a country store just outside the park where you can get something to eat and my 10 year old says they have the best ice cream ever. Our golden retriever enjoyed swimming in one of the many creeks running through the park and we all enjoyed one of the many hiking trails with spectacular views. Fantastic spot for a relaxing weekend.
