A nice, clean state park campground. Sites are paved and at a slight angle. Leveling was not a problem. No hookups. Bathhouse was very clean. Not all sites can accommodate RVs. I would stay here again. Nearby Mt. Airy is a neat little town.

If you camping here in an RV, check out https://www.campsitephotos.com/campground/nc/pilot-mountain-state-park/ before making your reservations. Some site are way better suited for RVs than others. I had site 37 and it was ok with a 27ft travel trailer. It was sloping so much we couldn’t get level. The campground is very well kept with nice bath houses and maintained sites. My favorite thing about this place is the access to trails from the campground. There are no hookups, but there are water spigots throughout the campground loop that you can fill for fresh water tank from if you don’t drive in with a full tank.
