Stayed here four nights Mon-Thu Apr 1-4, 2024. Lots of availability. Sites are all fairly level without a lot of separation or privacy. Clean flush bathrooms and separate cold showers. Short walk to the beach with miles to explore and fish. Close to Ocracoke for supplies/restaurants, and local fresh seafood to enjoy. We took the ferry from Cedar Island coming to Ocrakoke, with reservations, and the free ferry then to Hatteras on our exit; easy way to access these islands with our 25' TT.

We have been coming here for years, we started in tents,
moved to camper vans and now pickup and trailer. It's a laid back atmosphere, cold water showers, dump station, no hookups, but most who come are prepared for that. What to bring is bug repellant, because the mosquitos and flys can be a problem and some cordage to secure anything else you want to stay around when a weather front passes through.

Good boondocking(no electric or water hook up) beach campground. No shade but it is a remote and uninhabited by condos Etc. stretch of beach. Little privacy between campsites. Large dunes separate the campground from the beach. Friendly ranger staff.
