Favorite campground since going fulltime over 7 months ago!! This is a gorgeous, mature setting with a large number of return seasonal campers. We spent 2 weeks there at the beginning of September and spoke with a number of regulars that have been returning for years. This is a TRUE GEM, a stones throw from the Blue Ridge Parkway. You can literally see the parkway from an elevated field, past a lake, and through the woods. They have a little secret-garden type set up in 3 of the 4 "loops" or areas. The newer area up at the top is where they tend to put short-timers or larger units. As this is a seasonal campground that closes from Nov-May, every single RV gets taken out at the end of the season, thus allowing the park to stay "riff-raff" free. LOVE LOVE LOVE this RV park and have already sought availability for a month in the spring. I do wish they would update the bathhouses and laundry areas to a bit more modern, but they are clean and maintained. They offer a number of various recreational activities...no swimming pool, but a number of other options. Can't wait to return!!

A sour faced lady acted like I was bothering her to ask for a spot to camp for one night. She gave me a spot that was impossible to get level. They charge too much for what they have to offer. I will not be back..

Pretty place. Just a couple odd things to note. If you plan on using your heat or A/C, they will charge an extra $2/day. They already charge a hefty amount so i think this is overkill. I drove an extra car up because I needed to return home to work. An older guy on golf cart kept asking me if I was a visitor. He kept insisting that I needed to go check in at office. I believe they also charge for visitors. They also only accept cash or check, no CC. Besides these couple oddities, this is a nice place to stay.
