We were looking for a place in the general area to break up a long drive. We're self-contained in our 25 foot motor home and don't use the facilities except for an occasional shower. We stayed on a Friday night in early May. We did not have a reservation and were able to get a site despite a many campers attending a running race within the state park. This is a pleasant CG. 34 sites are arrayed around a loop, with or without electric. Most of the sites were well situated to all allow for some privacy. Most were level with a mix of sun and shade. There was good ATT cell service. We camped at Medoc Mountain State Park in a Motorhome.

This is our second time here, we just purchased our first camper 32 ft. The sites are very easy to back in and are somewhat level. Word of advice the pull-thru sites I don’t suggest anything over 24ft because it’s a U shape pull thru and it’s impossible with 32 ft. Watched a person hit the Electic box trying.... perfect place for a family very quite and lots of hiking trails! My family loves it here and we will be back! Also bathhouse is well maintained and clean.

Stayed here 5 times in the past year. Nice sites. Clean bathrooms. Very little cell (1 bar on at&t). Never crowded on weekdays and off season. Well maintained and marked hiking trails. Friendly staff.

We stopped for one night on our way through NC. This is a really nice spot about 10 miles off I-95. Not too many sites with electricity and no water at the individual sites. I enjoyed hiking some of the trails with my dog. It was very quiet. We didn’t use the showers but I did check them out. They are older, but clean. I would stop again.

Nice quiet and well kept state park campground. Nice trail. Bathrooms/shower was clean and well maintained. Picnic table, fire grate, level gravel sites. Low occupancy during our stay which was good. Will stay again.

Some sites have power. Water faucets are dispersed around the campground. Bathroom has flush toilets and hot showers with no button to keep pushing. Hiking is just OK.

Stayed 3 nights, the first night only two other campsites were taken. Very quiet and peaceful. Well kept campground, the bathrooms need updating but were cleaned every morning before we got in there. Camp hosts were very friendly, lots of hiking, make sure to check yourself for ticks, we saw lots of them. Pet-friendly too! Nice secluded campsites, we will be back! No Cell Signal for us with AT&T, also out in the middle of nowhere to about 20 minutes t nearest grocery, gas about 10-15 minutes.

Very nice, well kept. Only noise was the wind. 4 campers in park. Water is NOT on each site. Outside ring sites are nicer. Would suggest staying on far side of loop from group camps due to noise if occupied. Low or no cell signal. Nice trails and stream. Stars are awesome.
