Terrific smaller campground. It was clean, modern, had cement pads, friendly staff. You pay for using the pool which is fine since we don’t use it. Some rv sites on water the others r very close on to water. You can fish n go crabbing right there! 0.8 miles to free ferry to Ocracoke. Location in a quieter town (not touristy) n fun things to do close by (lighthouse, graveyard to the Atlantic, hatteras beaches, and other historical sites. Came for 4 days but loved it so much we stayed for about 8 days! This is now our go to campground when we want the southern outerbanks area.

Visited October 2019. Recovering from some storm damage, but everything was perfect. Looking forward to staying again.

Stayed 2 nights in April, RV sited not all full, but cabins were. Bathroom was spotless, so was laundry room. Workers were friendly, spaces were flat, all hook ups worked fine. I’d recommend this place.

We were here for two nights - off season and, technically, the campground was closed. After calling, they offered us camping and were much more than hospitable. Everything was clean and working and after the first night, we liked it so much we decided to stay another night.
