Stayed one night in a motorhome. Way overpriced for the amenities available. They are, however, one of the few campgrounds in the area with easy I40 access and convenient to downtown. Maybe they figure supply and demand justifies the pricey nightly rates. The pool was being repaired, so not available. Site was was sloped enough that the only way to get the motorhome close to level was to raise the front wheels off the ground. Restrooms were dated, but clean. Staff was friendly and courteous. We won’t make plans to stay here again because of the prices.

Traffic noise!!! We were in campsite #4 with a beautiful view of the interstate and the noise and rumble from the traffic was ridiculous. Spots are tight. The hookups are at the end of the sites and just too far for most folks to connect to, we opted to not bother and only did electric. For the $$ they charge it’s a charge it’s a rip off. The 5g internet was the only good thing they’ve going.

Good for over night stop. Close to fwy but didn’t bother me too much. They offered earplugs in store for sleeping if it bothered you. Clean place. Nice dog park. Very nice and helpful staff. Would stay again if needed overnight in the area.

Spent three nights attending sporting event. Great location, great staff, restrooms clean, site was level and not too close together. The only I did not rate a five star was the Campground was next to I40 so traffic was loud at times but did not interfere with sleeping or watching tv. Great location for visiting the Greensboro. 15 minutes to the coliseum. Certainly will stay here again.

We loved camping at this place for a week. Granted the amenities are limited to a pool, bathhouse, laundry room but their robust WiFi more than made up for it. No cable wasn’t a problem as we were able to stream all we needed to watch and work from our RV. The pool stayed open until 9pm so that was a huge plus to enjoy after work. The road into the campground is fine and everything is maintained. The people are super friendly. Granted I-40 is visible, the noise is pretty negligible and honestly helped our dogs not bark as much when noise was made outside. Also it’ll take maybe 5-10 min to get downtown from here which is a huge plus. Take the 20 min drive to Homeland Creamery as well to enjoy some delicious ice cream.

Location right off the Interstate 40. Check in staff was good. Old, poorly maintained park. The sewer system backed up and in the process of repairing that the water main was damaged. Water turned off and the process of repairing and testing is unknown. Fresh water line and sewer is not appealing. Staff gave No notice of the water turn off. Expensive. Only use as overnight if need too.

Just passing through. Read reviews. Sorry to say, very disappointed. Bathrooms still very outdated, some 2 years after previous reviews pointed that out. High weeds and overgrown entrance gave first hint. Many sites lacking level! Some wheels off the ground. Zero cement pads for picnic or sitting out. Fire rings: odd rocks surrounding what looked more like a pothole in the dirt. Very little grass or space between sites. Extremely loud freeway noise. Pool did not seem maintained. More parking lot than campground. Septic was higher than our site for hookup (black/gray difficult to drain) pump out station; very primitive-no water to wash out after draining. People were friendly: guess that’s what the $64.00 gets you.

I consider this a typical 4 star KOA. Maintenance is good, bathrooms are clean though dated, and staff is helpful. No deduction for traffic noise from I-40 since it is a Journey (not a Holiday) KOA. For the fifth star it would need to stand out in some way - whether updated bathrooms, beater than average landscaping, etc. But it is definitely a decent place to stay for a day or two.

We stayed here two nights just passing through. It rained the whole time so we didn’t do much at all on the property besides set up. The staff were super nice at C/I and C/O. Sites were nice and level. Can be loud since it’s beside the interstate, but we drowned the noise out with a noise machine at night. Would stay again if we needed to and would recommend if passing through!
