A great RV park with full amenities including pool, laundry room, workout room, gathering space, outdoor seating, and a well stocked store. This is a hilly area and the park is terraced, so walking around will give you a work out. Everything is very well maintained. Sites are close and yard space is limited, but this is a mountain resort with close proximity to GSMNP and BRP.
Know that cell service is limited...pretty much the only down side.
We camped at The Great Outdoors RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Great Outdoors in Franklin, NC is a great RV Resort, we stayed for two weeks this year and really enjoyed our time. On arrival we were greeted by Vernon and Beth, they were kind and welcoming, got us to our spot and assisted us in backing in and getting plugged in.
Our spot had generous amount of space and nice views of the rolling hills. The park is clean and very well cared for; pool, shop, nice dog park, and great place to walk around. Very very dog friendly park. Great Outdoors is big rig friendly and accessible.
Location is fantastic; lots of things to see and do less than 30 minutes away. We did something fun and different everyday. There are many trails to hike, quaint small towns to explore and waterfalls to see close by.
We will certainly be back. We camped in a 45 ft Class A and towed our Jeep.

We stayed here last year with Polly and Mike and the monthly rate was about $750 and this year it is $1250 and up!!! How much improvement did the new owners do to warrant that much increase? We will never go back.

Beautiful RV park! We’ll landscaped, friendly staff. Road noise is considerable and the WiFi leaves a lot to be desired. Would stay here again if I knew I could get connected.

This was a beautiful campground that is lovingly maintained on the top of a mountain with gorgeous views. Staff was extremely friendly as well as all the fellow campers with encountered. Sites are about average for spacing, but nice and level considering you're on a mountain. The only con was that they are very strict about not having any of your tires from your vehicles being on the grass. This makes it a little difficult when you have a long bed dually to try and park. Also phone reception was spotty at best. Otherwise, great campground- highly recommend!!

We absolutely love this place. We have stayed here several times and cannot say enough about how accommodating they are. The last visit we pulled in and the rv next to us had several dogs that barked non stop which was not what we wanted to listen to while relaxing outside. We called and they moved us. We are ok with pets but that was extremely annoying and the rv owners were not there. We also rented a car and decided to turn it in late Saturday after the rental agency closed and they drove the car back for us. Just great owners here. Very convenient to so many things and a very pleasant environment. We have a 38 ft class A and have no problem backing in. It can get a little warm on the top row but that’s not their fault. Hopefully when the trees mature it will help.

Stayed there 4 days while visiting family. Beautiful, well maintained park. Sites are quite narrow, but sufficient. Office staff was very friendly and helpful. Big rig friendly, but no pull thru's. They take you to your site and help guide you in. Also helped unhook our tow vehicle. Couldn't have been nicer. Would definitely recommend this park. Easy access to downtown Franklin, restaurants, etc.

Spent 3 weeks in this wonderful CG in June/July. It's a very busy park and we were glad to get a space over the July 4th holiday. Although some of the sites are close together, there was enough space for slides and awning and some lovely grass areas between. The sites are level and the grounds are beautifully landscaped. There is a nice pool and the restrooms are spotless. The onsite owners, Polly and Mike, are awesome. Friendly, informative and helpful in planning day trips and sightseeing. They organized a great cookout for the 4th and we all brought dishes to share. I would highly recommend this park and we plan to return.

We stayed here recently and would highly recommend it. Very clean and friendly with nice amenities including a heated pool. It's convenient to town but just far enough away to be quiet and have nice views. We will definitely be back!
