One of the best campgrounds I've stayed at to date. The grounds are kept in pristine condition. Extensive network of trails to hike in the nature preserve. Individual bathrooms with their own showers for privacy. Laundry facilities good. Super friendly and helpful staff. Busy on weekends but very quiet during the week. Only negative is most sites don't have a sewer hookup, but there's a central dump station. Can't wait to stay here again.

Very nice park with one caveat. If you have one of the RV spaces, make sure to bring a lot of levelling materials. All the spaces are slanted to one side, and they are all sloping quite a lot. Otherwise, the area is extremely nice, beautiful shaded and big sites as well as being close to shopping and eateries. We stayed for 5 nights and will stay again if our travels takes us near Charlotte again.

Nice County Park with recent pavement throughout the park. Everything is is nice condition at the park. Very wooded and shady which is really nice on those hot afternoons. Nice bath house but the combo restroom showers were not very clean the morning I went to use them. No sewer hookups but a dump station. Very close to lake activities, shops, restaurants, etc. Go white water rafting one afternoon at the US National White Water Center, fun!

Beautiful Nature Preserve with paths along the edge of Lake Wylie. Campground's Bathhouse has 8 private bathrooms with showers. Most sites are only suitable for tents and small RV's. There are 17 pull through RV sites - which require various degrees of leveling. Campground also has rent a tent sites with tents already pitched.

Great for a small RV or trailer, paved signed and access roads but lots of tree cover. Quite on weeknights. Shared water but no hose splitters. Staff couldn't have been more helpful.

While I was waiting for my condo to close I decided to go camping here. I was dropped off by my real estate agent/friend. What happened was totally unreal. When the workers at the Park realized I did not have my car they assumed I was homeless and treated me with total disrespect. I have the park rangers name but will not put it here, I won't embaress him as he did me. Also, the woman who worked in the office was about nasty and disrespectful as anyone I have ever delt with. She could not put the phone down long enough to answer a question, and because of that I was thrown out of the park for having a camp fire. They said it was posted not to burn a fire. I asked "did you throw out all the other people who had a fire last night?" I saw at least four campfires that nite. My real estate agent came to get me and asked Mr. Park Ranger why he was evicting me and stated I was drinking beer and there were beer cans all over my campsite. I was dumbfounded over him lying - I do not drink and my real estate agent knew that. Soooo - judgemental and telling lies??? Wow. Not much excitment in the woods for these guys. My opinion...stay as far away from this hell hole of judgmental liers.
