Should be zero stars. I reserved a campsite for 2 nights several weeks in advance. I was told it was all set as a disabled veteran I even spoke to the reservation office about a half hour before arriving. At the gate I was told by security that I could go onto the base with my VA ID card but my wife could not. So my options were to dump my wife or find another campground. We have stayed at many other military bases with no problems. Apparently the Elizabeth City Coast Guard station is higher security than an actual military base. These people need to get there act together and at least tell disabled veterans about their solo camping policy before they drive there and get denied access at the gate. I will avoid Coast Guard bases in the future for sure.

Stayed in site G, waterfront , access to pier, boat ramp & beach.
Amenities were having electricity ,water,sewer.
Very well kept by the Coast Guard. Be sure to see the Blimp hangar & the WW 2 East Berlin blockade airplane.
We really enjoyed ourselves.

We gave four stars because there were no amenities like a laundry or pool or wifi. It was five stars for us because we need only the basics. Sites are all concrete back ins off a paved road. Lots of space between sites and ours, G, had a water view. There is a small beach and nice walking path around the base. Really ship-shape! Main gate entry a little narrow but no issue even with our big rig. We are 45 feet and fit just fine. The location is about 50 minutes from Kitty Hawk and the beaches.

Nice campground, no facilities, no cable, but clean, decent size sites. Would definitely come back

This campground is exceptional. Extremely clean and small enough to be considered homely. Excellent location that is close to a tremendous amount of things to see. Absolutely loved our stay and totally recommend it to anyone wanting to see the area’s attractions.

Nice well maintained site with full hookup. Convient to Elizabeth City and the surrounding area. We will be back.

We really enjoyed our short stay at the USCG station. Beautiful level FHU site on the Pasquotank River. There is no commissary or exchange, but there is a nice shopette with Class VI store. We even had our hair cut at the salon adjacent to the shopette. Great location for visiting Kitty Hawk and OBX.

We stayed here overnight while traveling in our camper van. Sites are level and easy to back into. They have water, electric and sewer hookups.
No showers or toilets at the campground but available at the gym about a mile away.
Receptionist on the phone was friendly when I made the reservation.
