Most amenities and developed National Forest campground I have ever seen. There are no signs directing you from the parkway to the campground. Suggest using GPS directions. There are two entries: the north entry off Route 80 is mostly paved and very gentle, suitable for RVs. The south entry is off S. Toe River Rd. which is gravel, steep, winding… Not suitable for RVs or large trailers but quite scenic. Regular site costs $28, there are three electric sites only. Two bath houses are very clean. Great shower pressure and heat. Sites all have lantern hangers as well as the normal amenities. Love that a large trail network originates from here. Campground host office sells firewood, ice, and a few souvenirs.
