We stayed at Flintrock Campground in July of 2023 and loved it there. We stayed three nights cos we attended the Grandfather Mountain Highlands Games. We had great visits with neighboring campers. The creek running through the Campground was an added bonus which also, included Mountain Music on Saturday night. The staff were friendly and informative. Our site was shaded so we were cool and were able to catch a breeze on occasion. All in all, if we ever get up that way again, we will definitely book this Campground again.

Parts of the 芒鈧�艙camp芒鈧�聺 do look like the posted photos, but whomever designed the website forgot to mention the lineup of seasonal residents芒鈧�鈩� trailers and the trailer sites for those of us who were there for only several days.it can be off putting when you first pull in. It芒鈧�鈩�s too bad that a more honest picture wasn芒鈧�鈩�t given by the website designers. The seasonal people are very nice-not trashy. They are folks who appreciate escaping from hot weather. They do have gardens and fountains, but they are nice, kind people. There are lovely natural parts (a stream that runs through) with rock outcroppings. There are 2 clean washers and one giant dryer. It芒鈧�鈩�s a good stopping over place when traveling through the area just to catch up on laundry and groceries. Boone offers some artsy shopping. The folks who manage the place work hard. They deserve more credit. My advice: give it a chance if you are passing through and need a place to stay.

Wow! How did they ever post those photos of a place that looks so little like the tranquil pics online?!?!?! So misleading! I芒鈧�鈩�m sorry we trusted the photos when making our reservations! Money lost! We are sitting in a narrow tight spot with 芒鈧�艙residents芒鈧�聺 who live here芒鈧�娄serenaded by the constant road noise of the main route not many feet from the sites. Two washers (old) and one dryer芒鈧�娄good luck with getting laundry done in a timely fashion. We are lined up tighter that an RV/camper sales lot芒鈧�娄and just about as lovely. No privacy between sites but plenty of garden ornaments and overgrown resident plants. Ugh! We paid plenty for very little. WiFi is sketchy at best. We paid for 3-4 days thinking it would be a nice place to use as a base camp when touring this area. So disappointed芒鈧�娄can芒鈧�鈩�t wait to leave!

Lots and lots of positives. Friendly folks. A winding creek at some sites. Showers much proved from a year ago. Most sites are shady.
Negatives...wifi is not consistent. Sites very tight one to another. We saw nor heard No dogfights. Unlike the other camper...all dogs were under control of the owners. If we come this way again we will be calls here first.
