This campground has some interesting reviews.
Not our first choice for Asheville and surrounds but once settled it's a nice campground.
Following the gps will give you heartburn so take their advice and take exit 47 off I40 and follow the signs to the park.
Drive very slowly - you won't want to miss a turn.
Our site was level as most seem to be. They are smaller than you would like but workable.
Definitely not a destination campground but a convenient spot to visit the Smokeys.

The only thing this park has going for it is its proximity to Asheville. The office closes at 5pm and the store is a joke. The sites, although paved, appears to have been paved 20 years ago. Very uneven, some with steep inclines to back into. I saw a brand new American coach crack is rear cap and shred his rock guard trying to back into a site. I spoke with several other folks who were also very disappointed in the sites. I will not return to this park.

Very rude staff. Wifi and cable doesn't work. Park management out and out lied to us. Skip this place for a more pleasing stay in Asheville.

We spent memorial day weekend here after fleeing a tropical depression in Hilton head. Glenda helped us find a spot and when we arrived just after dark Ricky helped us park our 40 ft A in the last spot avail. His directions were so good the neighbors around us cheered for not scratching up their RVs and pick up trucks. Great view over the mountains as well, quick approach to the interstate and Biltmore.

As someone else mentioned this campground is not a destination source so much as a Very convenient location to take in the many sites around Asheville. The campground is very well maintained and clean, sites are paved with enough room to back in and out without any problems. Many sites are shaded and some offer great mountain views. You will notice traffic noise from two nearby interstates... but its quiet inside the rv :-). The farmers market is just outside entrance so you may stock up on vegetables. We will return here on future visits to Asheville. Btw we travel in a 40' mh with slides.

This is very convenient, clean and neat RV park. It is close to the Biltmore and Asheville. We have stayed here twice with a 40' coach and found it perfect. The sites are small but work well. The staff is very friendly and the people who stay here have been nice as too. However, this is not a campground.

If you are looking for tiny RV sites, then this is for you. Very tight quarters to maneuver in if you have a rig of any size at all. If you have a slide out, you may not be able to walk between yours and your neighbors. Pull throughs are right on a curvy two lane road with lots of road noise.

This is correctly called an RV Park not a campground. Paved site pads are located through out an attractively landscaped hilly piece of property that also includes apartments for rent for those without an RV. The RV Park is located in a residential area and is a good place to stay while exploring Asheville. Restrooms were very clean. Although I prefer more rustic surroundings I chatted with a number of large motorhome owners who visit Asheville frequently and absolutely love the place.

Called twice to see if reservations were needed and both times we were told "No". Last call was a few hours before we arrived. Got there at 4 pm after driving 400 miles and they told us there was a "rally" and there were no sites. NEVER AGAIN!
