The good thing about this campground is that it is right in the middle of the city. It has friendly courteous staff, but other than that not much else to brag about. Wi-Fi for us was excellent because we were parked right next to the building that housed the Wi-Fi but otherwise, the staff informed me that it was sketchy. Campsites were close together on gravel. when we first arrived, there was overflowing trash, in all the garbage containers, but they were clean when we left. Our site had an enormous amount of cardboard stuffed into the fir ring which was never picked up. A lot of the nonelectric sites, where I walk my dogs, were loaded with trash. The only reason I would ever come back to stay here as if I intended to spend time in Saint John.

The Rockwood Campground is unusual in that it is part of the 2,200 acre Rockland Park, an urbain park overlooking the Saint John. While there is one central parking lot, mostly for large rigs; there are also smaller sites surrounded by greenery around the edges. If you are into hiking, there are lots of trails. The Lily Restaurant also offers meals at reasonable cost. You are close to the entire downtown.

I can only echo other reviews. I will add that I have rarely seen worse WiFi. Add to that having to deal with city traffic to get there makes it worse. We will not be coming back!

Good location for Ferry, very basic and in need of tlc but otherwise safe and inexpensive.

The rates were reasonable but they basically paved Paradise and put up a parking lot.
