You would think that with as big as Yellowstone is that they could spread these sites out a little. Parking lot in the woods. Too many people. Everywhere.

We made reservations the day before and arrive to be told we weren't due in till the next day. But they had a cancellation and were able to accommodate us. Nice site. So we had two nights with full hookups and asked if we could stay another night but nothing was available, they said to check back later. We did and were able to spend another night with full hookups. Happy days.
It was disappointing going to some of the geysers. Last time we were there was in 2000 and it was busy at Old Faithful but not to bad at other geysers. This time you had to get to places before 9 am to get parking and avoid the hoards. Kinda disappointed.

Spaces are packed tight, but easy to get into. Motorhome and toad sit side by side. Convenient to get out and see the park. Pads are asphalt in varying degrees of repair. Ours was reasonably level. No AT&T service (and very little to speak of throughout park. A burner Verizon phone might be a good idea.)
Some loops are paved. Ours was not, and was very dusty when dry, large puddles everywhere when rainy.
We would stay again for full hookups/location.

Yes, as others have written, the spaces are small, no picnic tables, or campfires. Think Florida RV Parks--have stayed in a few of them that the spaces are even smaller! As far as campfires, I am glad that they are not allowed because of the size of the spaces! Also, smaller sites means more RV's can be parked!
The Staff are friendly, helpful, and professional!
Showers are very clean!
Yes, I would stay here again! Stayed here in a motorhome.
Forgot to add: Cell service (Verizon) was 2-3 bars @ the campground. So it appears "new" tower(s) have been installed. Some areas of the park--no service in "wilderness" areas. No complaints from me regarding cell service

Ok read the description from the park service before you stay here. It is located in the park near the Grand Loop. The spaces are close as described on the park website. You must have reservations to stay here. I made mine 2 months in advance. No picnic tables or fire pits are provided because you are in bear country. Your must sign a release that you are aware Bears can be in the camp. We didn't see any bears in camp. The showers are fine but small. The staff was fantastic. Very dark and quiet. Spaces are close. You must put away all all outside things at night. Great location and it's all about location. Only place in park for big campers and full hookups. No wi/fi and no cell service. Very little cell service in the whole park. Who cares? You are there for the nature. Is stay again anytime!

Great location and very convenient laundry and shopping including an RV mechanic right there if something wrong. Very cramped spaces and no campfires allowed takes away a bit of the camping feel.

Very conveniently located in the park. Good amenities. Narrow sites for RVs only feel cramped, however. No campfires unfortunately. Pricey.
