Nice private and peaceful and we got phone and internet service on site 8. Sites cost $16 a night and 1/2 off if you have a senior national park pass. So it only cost us $8 a night. We hauled our 43 ft toy hauler and the first two sites you come to are the only ones big enough to accommodate. Do not take a large trailer past the first two sites you will not be able to turn around at the end. The biggest drawback is the washboard road which is terrible and one of the worse ones we have traveled on with our trailer.

Beautiful area. We drove our TOAD up from W. Yellowstone to check out the area. VERY few sites. Apparently there now is a minimal US Forest Service CG fee. Road heading north from Rte 20 - A LOT of washboard. Wide gravel - very dusty. While area is very scenic- beautiful mountains & big lake - this should hardly be listed as a campground. Only a few sites and rough road to get you there. Glad we did not bring our Class A up here.

This campground is not free. It's $16 per night. I really enjoyed my stay. Peaceful next to the lake or the creek. There is no water, garbage only. Picnic tables, fire rings.

It's free "dispersed" camping - something we always love, but the mosquitoes were so horrendous here they chased us away before our first night. The reason we put dispersed in quotes is because they are actually marked and numbered sites. The ones at the end of the road are clusters close together with access to a boat launch and bathroom - the other couple of sites are spaced out more but lack water views. We moved down the road into an incredible campground near Island Park and left the mosquitoes behind.
