Very nice campground. Some sites are reservable and some are first come, first get. Some sites are electric only and the rest are completely unplugged. There is a water faucet to fill up your fresh water tank. No bathhouse, only vault toilets. Sites are level and there are some shaded ones. The hosts are super friendly and helpful. Great campground to explore Yellowstone NP and only a few miles from the cute little city of West Yellowstone. I took one star off due to road noise. Which is not a problem at night for sleeping. And another star due to the lack of a dump station. Only place to dump your tanks is in town and cost $30. Which is a rip off. We did enjoy our stay and would return.

Great National Forest CG. All FF only - which means if you want to snag a site you have to get here EARLY and cruise through looking for a vacated site (rare) or someone about to leave. Hosts were all EXTREMELY friendly and helpful. They tried their best but could tell they got worn out by so many coming in all day long demanding a site or wanting to make a reservation (but absolutely No reservations taken - FF only - and YOU have to find an empty site. The Hosts do not assign sites at all). Compared to many CGs almost all the sites here could easily accommodate our 38' Class A - very nicely laid out. Fees - $20 std, $28 Electric ($10 / $18 for US Pass holders). Pit toilets and fresh water available. Right on the Madison River - with even some small "beaches" for swimmers. Lots of fishermen. River is fairly shallow but fast flowing so watch it for young children. Location is extremely popular due to close proximity to Yellowstone N.P. and virtually no allowed National Forest camping anywhere close by. (It is all labeled "Day Use Only" everywhere)

Snagged one of the last three spots on a Sunday at 5pm. Great location in terms of proximity to the park, but you can definitely hear the freeway (and birds all night in early July). Spots are nice and shaded, relatively roomy. Bear lockers provided. Clean water at the front. $20/night.

Looks like a unique campground, but very overpriced… they wanted over $100 for one midweek night for a family with five children… Charges $10 per child

$20 for no hookups. $28 for electric. Camp host was awesome in removing some rowdy trouble seeking campers. Nice shaded spots. Both back in and pull throughs. Quiet campground. Location was perfect. So much nicer than the commercial places in tourist town. Water was available near the entrance.

Nice place to stay outside of Yellowstone. A little traffic noise from the highway but not too annoying. Water for RVs is at the entrance. No dump station. Electric on some sites. Get here early morning to get a site in the summer.

What a wonderful and beautiful forest park. Paved road with gravel sites. My site was an electric site which I love it. You can take your peaceful morning or evening walks. I thought of staying one night but I ended staying seven. There are two host, great people. Everything is so nice and clean. Madison river is a relaxing spot after your walk. Every site feels private. And the best thing is that it is so closed to the west entrance of Yellowstone. Only 4 miles. Definitely if I am in this area in the near future I will stay here again.
