Met my cousin at the campground, where he and his wife had already rented a back-in site for 2 nights. I went in to inform the koa attendant that I would be setting up a small 2-man tent on the site they had rented. The next day, after an enjoyable motorcycle ride in the Western Montana mountains, we were approached by the "owner", who stated we would have to pay extra for the tent and myself. After she literally put her hands on my cousin, we were told to leave and we would be reimbursed for the 2nd night. We packed our gear and were informed that we wouldn't be reimburst because the internet was down. I have stayed at many koa campgrounds and I have never had a problem. Since you are allowed up to 6 people at a campsite. The owner was very rude, condesenting, and disrespectful. I will never stay at the Deerlodge KOA again

Stayed for two nights to visit relatives. Greeted by a very friendly host. This is not a garden spot, but it was perfect for our needs. The bathroom I used was very clean. Sights are level and utilities are nicely placed. And the river is pretty cool. I would stay again.

Got here for one night traveling through. Their last night open for the winter. Cass was amazing helping me get set up. Nice setting. Not fancy but more than adequate. Clean warm bathroom and shower. Would stop here again.

The campground is right on the river but there are homes directly across. This is not a destination location but is a clean place to stay. The owner is friendly and helpful. Visiting the old prison and auto museum were very interesting.
