Loved the trees! 2 nights Nov 2024, 2 bars 5G+ AT&T and 2 bars 5G Verizon. Great OTA TV Channels.

By far the nicest army core of engineer campground that we’ve ever stayed at. V at the main gate was very nice and helpful. Tornado watches were in effect the first night we stayed there so we were told that the room between the men’s and women’s restroom would be unlocked to use as a safe space. We spent two hours there in the middle of the night to avoid the bad storms. Sites are nice, level, and clean. Restrooms are very clean also. The only area that seem to be unkept was the primitive walk in sites, but that’s primitive for you. We will definitely be back here.

Camped one night Thursday March 9, 2023. Lots of availability. Clean, quiet and scenic campground along the Tenn-Tom.

Overnighted in a 32' Class C without a reservation in mid-November. Lots of of open spots, took a great location right next to the river. Very peaceful. This campground also has an agreement to set aside and provide spaces for Columbus AFB for military members and retirees since there is not a FAMCAMP on base.

Great CoE Park, as stated on previous reviews. We were warned about ants, so we brought poison, but only lake side sites were affected. Bathhouse, laundry, all good.

Stayed camped with a 36' 5th wheel in site #76 for three nights, which was the last furthest one in the campground with full hookup. It also had bathrooms/showers and washer & dryer right across the road. Didn't actually use the showers, but tried them and they were very clean and the water hot. It was very quiet and dark at night, which we liked. The pad was fairly level, we just had to raise one side about 1" and lower the front end after disconnecting from the truck. We saw several barges go by while we were camped. During the day there were light jets flying around from the airbase, but not enough to be a real problem.

We just stayed one night headed south. Called the night before to check availability and they said they had very few campers, and do not take reservations in the winter months. Very well kept park with about 25 out of 100 sites with decent to really good waterfront views. Fair amount of boat/barge traffic, nice to watch them go by. Sites were very well maintained concrete slabs with fine crushed granite for picnic table/fire pit pad. 25 of the sites have sewer connections. We would stay here again if in the area.

This is a very nice park. Like most COE parks, most sites have electric and water only but they do have some FHU sites. Hosts were very nice and helpful. Good restaurants and shopping close by. I did not give five stars because, like a lot of COE parks, many of the prime riverfront sites are non-reservable and held for locals. Our site was nice and this is a good place for walking, cycling, and hiking.

A well kept park, even in the winter. Some full hoop-up sites are available. We paid $11 for a FHU on the water side. All sites are fairly level concrete, and all roads are paved. This is one of the better Corps parks we have visited along the Tombigbee Waterway. A few barges pass close to the banks here each day. All sites have fairly heavy tree cover making great shade, but hinder satellite reception. You need a mobile dish and a long cable to have any hope of sneaking a signal through the trees. Verizon cell strength here is four bars. We love this park and will return each Fall while wandering south. The town of Columbus is about five miles south, and a great place to shop and do tourist stuff.
